A little bit about myself:
* I am from New Athens, a 1994 NACHS graduate.
* I have an undergraduate degree in History/Teacher Education from Illinois State University.
* I have been, at different times, an elementary librarian, a teacher's aide and full-time substitute teacher.
* I have taught Social Studies and coached girls basketball and track at Teutopolis High School.
*I taught US and World History, Sociology, and Government at New Athens for 9 years.
* I have 17 years of full-time teaching experience overall.
* Over the past several years I have added some significant experiences:
three-year Teaching American History Grant from St. Clair County and the Gilder Lehrman Institute (link)
Master of Arts Degree in Educational Studies in History from McKendree University
Obtained an Illinois K-12 Administrative License.
Complete 18 hours of graduate coursework in Political Science at Saint Louis University
